Oxford debate: Government can't innovate

Is government's role to build, or to operate? It took the government to get us to the moon; today, we're dependent on industry to service space stations. It took the government to deploy mainframes at scale; today, the government is scrambling to regulate AI. At the same time, some governments are shunning the private sector, labeling them "rent takers" and instead building their own services.

The second of two Oxford Debates promises to be contentious, with opposing teams debating for and against a simple claim: Government can't innovate. Join the debate, and see which side can convince you to change your mind.
