Melanie Gilbert (she/her)

Melanie Gilbert is a Partner at IBM that actively engages the Canadian​ ​Federal Government in​ ​re-thinking how technology can transform lives. Her passion for this topic has led to frequent​ ​public speaking engagements. She takes immense pride in her team’s delivery and growth of​ ​some of IBM​ ​Canada’s largest services engagements.

As a leader she believes in mentorship and sponsorship. She is an active member of Advancing​ ​Women in IBM Consulting and through the​ ​independent organization Women in Technology she​ ​is currently mentoring​ ​both consultants and executives alike. Her work in this space has led to​ ​her nomination in 2021 for the prestigious IBM Judy Huber award.

Melanie is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Emlyon, France​ ​where she teaches “AI​ ​and Disruptive Technologies Applied to Commerce” within the Masters of Science (MSc) in​ ​Digital Marketing and Data Science department.
