Alex is a digital transformation expert who works with leaders and their teams to adopt Internet era ways of working and reap the benefits they afford.

Drawing on a rich experience across government policy and politics, Alex specialises in dismantling blockers and translating a vision for change into actionable steps. Engaging a broad range of stakeholders and fostering collaboration, she crafts strategies that support, empower and fund agile teams. 

Prior to joining Public Digital, Alex enjoyed a varied career at the Treasury Board Secretariat, including at the Canadian Digital Service (CDS), where she was Chief of Staff to the CEO in a period which saw the team grow from 30 to 150 people. She was instrumental in delivering flagship CDS programmes including Covid Alert, which had nearly 7 million users. Her other roles included Senior Policy Advisor and Director of Strategic Engagement, where she worked on the Digital Credentials Programme for Canada. Alex’s career began as a lawyer working against internet child exploitation, and pivoted into senior policy advisor roles for three Cabinet Ministers on Parliament Hill.

Alex champions inclusive service design and empowers ways of working that consider bilingualism, accessibility, and Reconciliation from the get go and never as an afterthought.
