dog·ma
/ˈdôɡmə/
noun
1. a principle or set of principles laid down by an authority as incontrovertibly true.
Does Agile work?
Does Agile work… for all projects? …with a team that’s not used to working that way?*
For the people who are trying to cultivate a more digital-era public sector, there are some table-stakes principles: design with the people whom you serve. Start small and iterate. Work across disciplines. These things work. (And beyond those principles, there are many more promising practices that form the hallmarks of what we call digital.)
But how do we know that they work? And how do we know that they work in the specific contexts we’re operating in? Which practices are proven, and which are dogma? In championing change it’s not always just about what works. It’s often about proving and communicating what works and how, to bring the organization along with you.
This workshop will challenge participants to air out assumptions – our collective digital dogma – and put them to the test. Then, we’ll build our collective evidence base and storytelling approach back up together, to strengthen how we communicate and champion change across the public sector.
