Government works not just because of public servants and elected officials, but also the tireless efforts of nonprofits, NGOs, and civic tech organizations around the world. We’ve partnered with many of them over the years, including Code for Canada, Code for America, and the US Digital Service.
They’re a vital part of how our society functions, often paving the way for technology adoption and providing a liminal space for career technologists to contribute to society. Neither public nor private, this third sector deserves to be part of FWD50.
That’s why we’re launching the Third Sector Pass, building on our Regional Access Pass program that has welcomed hundreds of regional public servants to the conference in past years.
To qualify you must:
-
Be currently employed with a public-sector focused nonprofit, civic tech, or non-governmental organization.
-
Submit an application from your official work email address.
-
Provide additional proof of organization and role if required.
-
Be one of the first two people to claim a pass.
Examples of qualifying organizations include Code for Canada, the Federation of American Scientists, and the Falling Walls Foundation. Since the world of Civil Society is complex, we get to decide what constitutes “public-sector focused.”
