Chief Digital Officer, Head of Enterprise Digital Credentials, Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS)

In October 2022, Katherine Benjamin joined the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat, as the Chief Digital Officer of the Government of Canada, Head of Enterprise Digital Credentials.

Previously, Katherine was the Deputy Chief Technology Officer for Digital Services for the City of New York. In that role, she advocated for a more human centered approach to bringing technology to bear on the lives of New Yorkers. She co-founded the NYC[x] Innovation Fellowship, a program that embedded digital product teams in City agencies and departments to rapidly solve COVID-19 related challenges through the use of lean, agile, and user-centered methodologies.

Katherine's work in digital transformation includes launching an innovation lab with the Ontario Digital Service, and co-founding the service design for digital government stream for undergraduate and graduate students at Emily Carr University of Art + Design.
