Dr. Raman Srivastava (he/him)

Chief Data Officer & A/Assistant Deputy Minister, Health Canada

Dr. Raman Srivastava has been working with the Federal Public Service for the past 24 years. He has had a unique privilege to serve eight federal departments/agencies in numerous capacities, most of which have been at management levels. His recent appointments included: Director General of Corporate Affairs at the Department of Citizenship and Immigration (now Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada); Director General of Data Analysis and Services at the Public Service Commission; and Director General of Evaluation at the Department of National Defence. In February 2021, Dr. Srivastava was appointed as Health Canada’s first Chief Data Officer and Acting Assistant Deputy Minister.

Dr. Srivastava holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, as well as two Master’s degrees and a Ph.D. degree in Agricultural Economics.

Dr. Srivastava has received numerous awards and recognitions for his years of community and public service.
