Amy Kirtay is the Director of Digital Strategy with the Government of British Columbia's Digital Investment Office. The Digital Investment Office sets cross-government digital strategy and policy and manage the government's technology-related capital investment portfolio. She leads a team that works on executing innovative strategies and policies to guide the province towards modernization and transformation of programs and services. Amy has over 15 years of public service experience focused on digital in the social services, finance, and information technology sectors.

Amy is a communications professional that specializes in supporting digitally enabled organizations work through issues and practices. She’s passionate about the promotion of an insights-driven approach to addressing organizational challenges and is motivated by the desire to foster the development of digital champions. To support this objective, she has conducted research on the competencies, skills, and traits needed for successful digital leaders in the public service and how post-secondary institutions are cultivating these through their learning offerings.

Amy is enthusiastic about continuous improvement and a life-long learner. She has a BA in Professional Communications from Royal Roads University, an MA in Communications and Technology from the University of Alberta and has completed the Digital Transformation in Government Executive Education program through the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
