Robert Smallwood (he/him)

Robert Smallwood is a retired Canadian Army Colonel with extensive experience in the planning and conduct of domestic and international military operations. In 2016, Robert was asked to return to public service as a Project Manager tasked with improving the release experience for CAF members. In 2017, with the release of the Defense Policy – Strong Secure Engaged (SSE) his role was expanded to include responsibility for Initiative 28 and integration of the outcomes of the Release Renewal Project into the emerging Transition Process being developed by the Canadian Armed Forces Transition Group (CAFTG). Modernization through the development of a digital work-flow environment is expected to greatly improve administrative efficiency and enhance the member’s transition experience.
