Krista Canellakis brings entrepreneurial thinking to make government more inventive, collaborative and responsive to people. As Deputy Secretary, General Services at the California Government Operations Agency, she is focusing on government transformation. Prior to joining GovOps, Krista was Chief Innovation Officer in the City and County of San Francisco leading the Office of Civic Innovation, where she was in public service for seven years. Prior to public service, she was co-founder of a start-up crowdfunding platform for communities to raise funding for neighborhood improvement projects and also led communications and marketing at a national renewable energy and climate firm. Krista has a Masters in Building and Urban Design in Development from University College London and a BA in International Relations and French from the University of Pennsylvania.
