Since 2016, Denis has been at the forefront of creating information technology employment and career opportunities for Indigenous Canadians across Canada. Over the past 4 years, PLATO Testing has trained and employed over 100 Indigenous Canadians in New Brunswick, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia. The company now has trained Indigenous Testing Resources working in their 5 th year as IT professionals for business and government clients across North America. Denis’ work with PLATO Testing is under a bilateral arrangement organized under Interchange Canada.
Substantively, Denis is a federal public servant and has worked in Indigenous programming for over 20 years on the Prairies and in Atlantic Canada. A member of the Pasqua First Nation in Saskatchewan, Denis has brought an Indigenous perspective and worldview to the leadership team of a national group of IT services companies. PLATO Testing has won numerous national and regional business start-up and social enterprise awards since its creation in 2016.
