Surveillance Coordinator & Data Analyst, Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA)

Cora Loucks is the Surveillance Coordinator and Data Analyst with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) where she works closely with Ontario’s crop specialists to facilitate implementation of projects designed to assess practices, products, technology and research related to pest detection and management. Cora has a Bachelor of Science (Plant Biology) from the University of Waterloo and a Doctor of Philosophy (Crop Production Systems) from the Department of Plant Agriculture at the University of Guelph. Partnering with Code for Canada is helping to provide OMAFRA with a tool to deliver pest infestation and management information to growers as quickly as possible so they can respond and manage them efficiently.
