Jamie M. Thomas (she/her)

Program Officer, Forum of Federations

Jamie M. Thomas is a Program Officer at the Forum of Federations where she works on the Forum’s thematic research programs. She has worked on a variety of topics related to federalism and multilevel governance including climate change, gender equality, language policy, and state fragility. Her areas of focus currently include federalism, peacebuilding, and transitional justice as well as digitalization of public administration. She is one of the co-editors of the Forum of Federations and the Centre on Governance’s upcoming volume on the Digitalization of Public Administration in Federal Countries. Jamie holds a Master of Arts in Political Studies (International Relations) from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours), First Class in Political Science from the University of Calgary.

Digitalization poses challenges for governments at all levels, and better understanding how federal and multilevel countries face and address these challenges can support future policy development in this rapidly developing area of governance practice.
