Leanne Labelle is the Acting Executive Director of Platform at the Canadian Digital Service (CDS).
Leanne has worked at CDS for the past 4 years with the exception of 6 months when she was seconded to the Public Health Agency to help launch the ArriveCan app during the pandemic. Before joining CDS, Leanne worked at NRCan designing, planning and launching 5 clean tech-focused prize challenges under the Impact Canada initiative. She started her career in government with the Public Health Agency where she oversaw the development of the Agency’s first mobile application (CanRisk), and led the first release of de-identified chronic disease datasets.
Prior to joining the Government Leanne founded and ran a successful digital technology firm for over 10 years. She has been recognized as a “Top Forty Under 40” by the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce for her contributions to the innovation and digital sectors.
