Vik Pant

Vik leads the Office of the Chief Scientist (OCS) at NRCan and reports directly to the Deputy Minister. OCS oversees the development and implementation of evidence-based science policy across NRCan sectors and agencies. OCS also manages NRCan’s enterprise-wide technology strategy and portfolio of science products. Vik also runs the Digital Accelerator, which is an innovation platform for designing and launching AI-driven software products in NRCan. He also represents NRCan on executive-level science and technology committees and delegations in the Government of Canada.
