Angela joined TECHNATION with over 25 years of exceptional global and Canadian experience in the Technology sector driving transformational programs.
A visionary executive with a passion for leadership, Angela’s unique career path includes 10 years as a military officer specializing in global supply chain and logistics followed by 18 years in senior-level leadership roles in Technology and Defence sectors. Her diverse leadership includes senior marketing director with BlackBerry, and global program director with Mergers & Acquisitions with Nortel Networks, where her team was responsible for delivering technology to over 127 countries. Angela’s career has taken her through leading and launching teams and technology across a number of continents, and dozens of countries.
Angela brings collaboration, energy and innovation to all of her roles. As founder of the public-private sector leadership forums “Strategic Knowledge Exchange” aimed at driving change on a national scale, her experience in developing strategic partnerships across national organizations and around the world, will help drive TECHNATION’s vision to influence Canada’s position as a global tech leader into the future.
Beyond her corporate and military experience, Angela is a board member of the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) as the Regional Vice Chairman for North America and Chair of WITSA’s Global Policy Action Committee (GPAC), with a particular responsibility to ascertain and promote important issues affecting the global use of ICT as it relates to government policies. She also served as the IT & Supply Chain Leader on the Ontario Government COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution Task Force which oversaw the delivery, storage and distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine for the province of Ontario.
Author of the leadership best-seller Hit the Ground Leading!, and award-winning founder of her own consulting firm, Angela has delivered business growth programs and keynotes to companies and teams around the world. She has held positions as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Ivey School of Business, as EVP of Leadership with the International Women’s Forum, as an Honorary Colonel of the Canadian Forces School of Aerospace, Technology and Engineering and holds a P.Log designation.
