Jean Turgeon (JT) is Vice President and Chief Technologist at Avaya. In this role, JT is responsible for driving and delivering the strategy for Software Defined Architecture, evangelize Avaya’s full portfolio solutions and lead the Digital Transformation focused on delivering vertical industry solutions for both the Enterprise and Midmarket. He also leads various initiatives such as AI, IoT, Public Safety and active participate in blockchain with his global team of solutions architect specialists. Recently I was awarded from TMT News the “Most Influential CTO in Business Communications 2016 & Best VP in Networking 2016” which is to be published shortly. I also have been ranked #53 in Top 100 influencers for Unified Communications: http://www.onalytica.com/blog/posts/unified-communications-top-100-influencers-and-brands/ Prior to joining Avaya, JT was most recently a General Manager for the Networking Business Unit at Nortel. He played a pivotal role in integrating the Nortel Networking business, team and products into the Avaya portfolio while executing flawlessly on a transformation to deliver an end to end virtualized architecture. And previous to then, JT held numerous leadership roles at Nortel and Bay Networks within the Research & Development, CTO Office, Support and Professional Services, Training and Technical Marketing organizations. JT is an honored Executive MBA graduate from Ottawa University and also holds a degree in Electronics from the Institut Teccart.
