Information Security Director, AGESIC Uruguay

Santiago is a Telecommunications engineer, specialized in Information Security, certified as Information Systems Auditor (CISA by ISACA), Information Security Practitioner (SSCP by ISC2), Project Manager Professional (PMP by PMI). In 2013 will finish a Master on Technology Management (MMoT).

He is the Director and founder of the National CERT at Uruguay (CERTuy). Has managed many projects at the Uruguayan government, among the most important were: Deployment of the Government’s Private Data Network, design and deployment of the Security System’s of the egovernment platform, design and implementation of the PKI Uruguay.

With more than 10 years of experience on IT and Mobile industry, he has managed projects on the private sector in Uruguay, Ghana, Pakistan, Puerto Rico and Belice and many international government cooperation at Panama, El Salvador and Ecuador via Uruguayan Government and OAS.
Member of IEEE Uruguay for more than 5 years been president of the GOLD group in Uruguay, and treasure Officer of IEEE chapter Uruguay. Co-author of the book “Wireless Engineer Body of Knowledge” (IEEE, ComSoc ISBN: 978-0-470-43366-9)
