Dorothy Eng is passionate about using technology and design to directly impact everyday people’s lives. As the Director of Partnerships at Code for Canada, Dorothy works with governments to build their digital capacity and enable teams to deliver public services that better meet residents’ needs. Dorothy is a co-founder of Civic Tech Toronto, a weekly meetup where engaged residents use technology, data and design to better understand and shape their communities. Prior to her career in civic tech, Dorothy worked in various roles at different tech companies, designing and building enterprise and consumer-facing software. She holds an undergraduate degree in materials engineering from McMaster University and an MBA in social innovation from the Schulich School of Business.
