Xavier-Antoine Lalande (he/him)

Mayor of the City of Saint-Colomban since 2017, Warden of the RCM (MRC) of La Rivière-du-Nord since 2021, Chair of the Council of Wardens and Elected Officials of the Laurentians since 2025, and a member of both the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the Union des municipalités du Québec (UMQ) since 2022, Xavier-Antoine Lalande has taken on a wide range of political commitments since 2010.

His diverse experience allows him to bring a 360-degree perspective to several fundamental issues regarding municipal affairs and general public policy. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Université Laval, he now dedicates his energy and priorities to promoting municipal power and the autonomy that cities should have over today's pressing challenges—such as innovation and digital transformation, economic development, homelessness, land-use planning, and municipal finance.
