Designing for legitimacy: building trustworthy systems in the special context of government

Pia Andrews will walk through the special context of government and how it can and should be applied in the design, delivery and operations of government policies and services, or order to maintain legitimacy with the general public. Pia will use Artificial Intelligence based Automated Decision Making systems as a novel use case to explore the minimum requirements for all government systems to be considered compliant with Administrative Law, Rule of Law and to meet the special expectations and responsibilities of government.
