In this digital space, as the world continues to evolve, so do the government’s priorities, opportunities, and challenges. Technologies like quantum computing and artificial intelligence are quickly transforming society in many ways. Governments must continue to lead throughout this evolution by embracing a digital-first mindset so that they stay relevant and trusted.
That means making it easier for citizens to interact with government institutions and services. The people we serve expect services that are not only easy to use, but also secure. Most importantly, they want to be able to trust that their personal information is protected. So, we have a responsibility to continue to build and maintain trust with Canadians in everything we do.
Just as the digital environment continues to evolve, the federal government also needs to adjust its priorities and focus on the most important elements that, together, enable transformation at scale. To do that, the government is focused on 3 key pillars: People, Policy, and Technology. These pillars set to unify the vision for digital transformation across the Government of Canada. These include finding better and more efficient ways to hire the people with the right skills. And all of this requires secure technology because as it evolves and becomes more complex, so do cyber threats.
