Collaboration sécurisée : Comment la confiance numérique débloque la collaboration public/privé

Description disponible en anglais uniquement.

Headlines are filled with security breaches, privacy leaks, and identity fraud. To combat this, many government services feature standalone, complicated authentication—at the expense of ease of use. Citizens face the collateral damage arms race of stronger authentication and more widespread hacking. But what good is a secure service that can’t be used? As a result, governments worldwide struggle to balance security with utility.

There’s a better way. Citizens need secure, trusted and efficient ways of sharing information about themselves online. The best way to tackle this problem is straightforward: Collaboration.

When trusted organizations work together to offer increased privacy and convenience to citizens, everyone benefits. While the government certainly has a key role to play in making this happen, it can’t take on the problem alone. The public-private divide must be crossed and trusted organizations across multiple industries need to step up and work together. This year saw an exciting step forward with some of Canada’s leading organizations joining forces to tackle some of the biggest issues in digital identity with a decentralized solution that helps give Canadians the privacy and security they deserve when accessing services and products. It’s now a matter of expanding this network to cover more use cases and reach as many Canadians as possible.

In this session, Eric will explain the success that the public sector has already realized from collaborative, ecosystem approaches to solving problems and demonstrate how we can now build on what works and offer citizens further access to more private, more convenient alternatives. He will be joined by a senior member of both a major Canadian financial institution and the CRA to walk the audience through a demo of some of the work currently being done to streamline public sector service delivery and offer citizens a quick and secure way to share their personal information in order to access critical services.

With cutting-edge technologies and close collaboration between key organizations, secure, accessible, easy-to-use digital government is possible. Catch this session to learn how we get there!
